Global seismology and high-pressure experiments are the most important tools for study of deep earth’s interior. My research interest is to yield basic experimental data combining them. Presently I am conducting
(1) Resonant ultrasound spectrophy for measurering elasticity of mantle minerals, such as b and g spinels, and perovskite. [xyzr.pdf] [fshift.pdf] [perovskite.pdf] [perovskite.ppt] [beta_spinel.pdf]
(2) Pulse transmition technique for measuring acoustic velocity of mantle minerals under high pressure. [bondeffect.ppt]
(3) Stress analysis in a high-pressure cell and in anvils in order for improving quality of high-pressure experiment.
